Radar Aeroecology Workshop Registration
Join us for a 4-day long immersive training in the use of weather surveillance radar data for applications in aeroecology. We will cover basics of radar remote sensing, data visualization, and data processing.
When: August 4th – August 7th, 2024
Where: University of Delaware, Newark, DE
Applications are due by May 1, 2024.
Travel awards available to increase diversity of trainees. We anticipate funding to support 10 trainees (up to $1,125 each) to cover airfare and hotel expenses. **Travel support is limited to applicants currently residing in the United States.** Due April 1, 2024. See application details below.
Selected participants will be notified by May 15, 2024
The course will be limited to 30 participants
On August 7th, we will plan to visit the Dover, Delaware WSR-88D site (KDOX)

Travel Award Application
In addition to registering above, if you are interested in applying for a travel award, please upload a cover letter (up to 2-pages) and a diversity, equity, and inclusion statement (1-page). Within these documents, please describe your interest in the workshop, how you hope to use radar remote sensing, and how you actively enhance or will enhance DEI efforts within the aeroecology community.
Travel awards are limited to students, post-docs, and early career professionals (4 years post terminal degree).
We anticipate funding to support 10 trainees (up to $1,125 each) to cover airfare and hotel expenses.
Support is limited to applicants currently residing in the United States.
